I solve groundwater-source problems: Developing water supplies and solving the performance and water quality issues that come later, using a multidisciplinary problem-solving approach. I have over 40 years’ experience with some writing to document that. In my mature years, I've also become a water supply contractor in Tanzania with a good fleet and crew. My goals are to keep doing this, make a difference in the world, and make a living at it. Will travel where the work is. groundwaterscience.com @GWSHydros groundwatertanzania.com @groundwatertan1Qualifications: Both a qualified hydrogeologist and highly applied environmental microbiologist focusing on biofouling and biocorrosion, working in a long-time private sector consulting business. As Ground Water Science, we provide hydrogeology (preferring water supply) and highly applied analysis and consulting in water quality, biofouling and biocorrosion for wells, geotechnical drains, and water treatment systems. We also practice the lost arts of well hydraulics testing. Recently we developed monitoring programs in response to shale and coal seam methane development. As partner-investor in Ground + Water Tanzania, Ltd. with Naftal Mandi, MPH, MBA, I support our Tanzanian team in ensuring that projects are completed to international professional standards with good use of funds invested. We now work "turn-key" including the borehole drilling and completion with our own geophysical and advanced well drilling capacity, all the way to the end tap (engineering, plumbing, masonry). GWT is a Tanzania-chartered business with the required Water Ministry licensing. Clients include international donor organizations and Tanzanian government, business and investors.
