Today we talk a lot about discovering and developing talents and there are many different models och tools for this. Already in the 50's Donald O. Clifton, Ph D (1994-2003), asked the question what would happen if we actually studied what is good with people rather than negative factors. This lead to many years of research on human strengths. 1998, Donald Clifton and Tom Rath created the online assessment Clifton StrengthsFinder together with a team from Gallup. The test builds on more the 30 years of research and more than 2 million interviews that Gallup performed to identify human strengths. Gallup identified 34 signature themes of talents and when you take the StrengthsFinder test you will get to know your five most dominant talents.I am a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, trained by Gallup and Clifton Strengths School. Since 2005 i have used StrengthsFinder for leadership development and with my students. My talents are Strategic, Futuristic, Activator, Responsibility och Belief.
