Celabor is a research center in the field of agrifood (nutrition and extraction), paper, packaging, textiles and environment. Celabor gives support to compagnies for R&D projects and testings. Celabor is also involved in regional and european public projects with other research centers and universities.I work in the extraction department : extraction of high added-value molecules, valorization of by-products, green extraction processes (supercritical carbon dioxide, subcritical water, ultrasound or microwave assisted processes,...), purification processes (chromatography, membrane filtration,...) and characterization of the extracts (gas chromatography (e.g. essential oils), liquid chromatography (e.g. polyphenols), antioxidant activity (e.g. ORAC, FRAP,...)). Study of the combination of antimicrobial agents and packaging for the preservation of food.Involvment in WALEXTRACT project (ERDF project) for the volarization of the by-products generated by the transformation and exploitation of resources of plant origin to be found in Wallonia by means of clean extraction processes with high added value for applications in the agri-foodstuffs industries, or in the cosmetics or phytotherapy fields as, for example, natural preservatives (antioxidant and antimicrobial agents).Involvment in WALAID project (Walloon Region) for the promotion of competition and durability for the Walloon food industry by creating an interdisciplinary platform designed to help with decision-making and support businesses in the food industry producing by-products for the market.

Study of the involvment of equine myeloperoxidase (MPO) in various inflammatory pathologies of horses. Utilisation of this enzyme as an oxidizing, nitrating and chlorinating agent.
