- Research and analysis on cases to identify a likely outcome and develop an effective plan to defend a client or clients in court especially on criminal cases, cases related to domestic violence and Human Rights Violations, trafficking, citizenship issues etc.- Interpret laws for clients and help them to understand their legal options.- Prepare and draft legal documents, including legal briefs and appeals.- Act as facilitator and deliver trainings for various NGOs, INGOs, Human Right Activists for various legal issues related to child protection, domestic violence, human rights violence, Trafficking, citizenship issues, GBV etc and brief them about legal protection mechanism.

Responsible for leading on legal and socio-economic programming to support survivors of violence, including creating robust systems for assessing need, allocating resources and reviewing and documenting ongoing cases and for being the first point of contact for survivors of violence in order to offer consistently sensitive, empathetic and professional support • Building and maintaining a strong network of lawyers and relevant service providers e.g. medical professionals, livelihood providers, schools etc. as well as relevant government authorities in the field • Undertaking primary data collection to support the documentation of incidents and preparation of legal cases • Developing and maintaining assessment criteria for the selection and prioritization of COCAP legal aid and socio-economic support and document inquiries, applications, decisions taken and resources expended. • Working with survivors, family and other responsible agencies to assess needs, identity appropriate support services and refer cases • Working with survivors, family and Human Rights Defenders to assess risk and developing protection strategies • Leading on the sensitive documentation and management of case data and responsible for designing effective systems for monitoring and evaluating learning and impact across Legal Aid activities • Assisting in development of reports and submissions to relevant national and international authorities on specific cases and key issues and trends
