Starting from 2015.03.24 to 2017.01.28 I have been working as a TRAINEE FABRIC TECHNOLOGIST @ CREATIVE TEXTILE MILL (PVT.) LTD-INDUSTRIAL ZONE, DANKOTUWA, SRI LANKA . The role of the position was linking Fabric tech. of weaving and dying mill. Main responsibility was to maintain the quality of the greige fabrics for a high quality finish fabric. Referring to the main defects which could occur in the mainly woven fabric have made a guide book for trainee fabric inspectors. Further measuring the efficiency of looms (air jet dobby/air jet cam) /production and maintaining the capacity. Then I have shifted to Apparel manufacturing sector from 2017.02.01 to 2018.02.01 as a MERCHANDISER (BULK FABRIC) at TIMEX GARMENTS (PVT.) LTD – COLOMBO 08, SRI LANKA Worked as a bulk fabric merchandise for M&S. Followed up on bulk fabric samples approvals to garment shipments. Coordinated with mills in China, Korea, Turkey and Mills in Europe to get down fabrics. Arranging POs in SAP system to make the bulk fabric order, arranging payments to suppliers, checking on fabric in-housing under the given deadlines and assure the quality of the fabrics before starting production. Whilst I was occupied in my previous Job , I got an opportunity to face to an interview in the current business for the position of client coordinator. I was selected and call for the position above mention from 2018.02.02 . Starting as a client coordinator I got my level/position up in the business to my current position as a JUNIOR PRODUCT COORDINATOR (CUSTOM MAKING PREMIUM GARMENTS) MELACHE BRIDLE LOUNGE (PVT.) LTD – COLOMBO 07, SRI LANKA Working as a personal assistant to the head designer at Melache boutique. As the designer is based in UK, meetings are taken virtually with the clients in Sri Lanka and worldwide. Making the set up for each meeting, sourcing, purchasing, making costing, coordinating with clients for meetings and fit-ons, making weekly schedules of productions are some of the responsibilities in my current position.Meanwhile I am employed in the above position I got my CSD (charted society if designers ) validation from UK for Basic scientific dress making and Foundation of fashion designing .I'm grateful for all the opportunities and experience I have gain from the current position and looking forward to continue further in same or similar areas in next years in my carrier.
