• Adding Disks, Partitions, Swap space management and File System to Linux System • To Administer & manage a large base of UNIX (Solaris, Linux) servers (production environment) that host several critical business applications, databases, etc. • Troubleshooting server crash, booting problems through console, working with vendors like Oracle, IBM, etc. to get the Root Cause Analysis. • LVM Management (VG create/remove, VG extend, LV create/remove, Online LV extend) in Linux. • Filesystem Creation. • Patching: Applying patches on Linux (YUM, RPM) • Hardware replacement like Disks, DIMM, System Boards, FAN on Oracle, DELL, Wipro hardware in coordination with Remote Field engineer. • User and group administration • Configuration of network and related services at operating system level like NFS, NIC Bonding, SSH and other TCP/IP services • Monitoring (Disk Space Utilization Checking, Utilization of CPU & Memory) • Basic understanding of MySQL. • Experience on shell Scripting. • Develop automation solutions leveraging shell scripting to increase the operational efficiency. • Make shell scripts to automate the test cases.
