•Managing Production (60+ Team members - Assembly, Testing, Warehouse, Dispatch) of High Voltage Switchgear (GIS) (Around 40 Million USD Revenue). •Ensuring achievements of all unit Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and lead improvements in quality, productivity, on-time delivery, cost reduction, inventory turn ratio etc.•Plan capacity, manpower and manage physical assets. Assist in recruitment and makes effective staffing decisions.•Lead the deployment of Lean Transformation activities throughout the factory to improve various existing practices and conventional processes by deploying Continuous Improvement tools like VSM, kaizen, A3, Six Sigma, 5S etc. •Acting as Change Agent by challenging conventional approaches, thinking, methods and driving improvements.•New Factory / Facility setting up including preparation of Layout, Capital investment details, factory modification, plant and machinery upgradation, civil change activity, capital item procurement and installation of various items (Crane, Forklift, Dock Leveler, Compressor etc.) for manufacturing of new products.•Production Process development in single piece flow for new products by defining assembly line layout, Takt time, Pre-assembly -Main assembly Takt, Raw material buffer, Pre-assembly WIP buffer etc.•Industrialization set up with Jigs and Fixtures, Workstation as per 5S, FIFO rack for C class item, Logistic trolley for bulky material, creation of material logistic plan from warehouse to assembly line.•Preparation of documentation related to ISO, EHS, OHSAS, Visualization System, Assembly Work instructions, In Process Checklist, Component Traceability etc.•Conducting cycles of training on products, Lean Methodologies and best practices to factory members. •Technology Transfer of HV GIS in India ABB from ABB Switzerland along with other team members.•Production of GIS and Hybrid switchgear in our new state of the art manufacturing unit in Vadodara.•New factory set up activity of new GIS factory in Vadodara, India.•CAPEX PURCHASE for various items for new GIS factory setup.•Handling techno-commercial discussion with the CAPEX VENDRORS.•Take care of various mechanical installations in new ongoing PASS/GIS factory in INDIA VADODARA.•Preparing layout of pre assembly, sub takt , Maintakts for assembly area and to do proper work balance.•Responsible for various JIGS & FIXTURE requirement generate-designing-procurement for manufacturing line.•Whole industrialization set up (Takt-buffer-build up area marking, Work station build up, FIFO rack bulid up, Material logistic trolley build up as per the sub assembly and main assembly requirement in single piece flow with proper 5S.•Various material and technical queries follow up with ABB Switzerland and to work with the Global opex team to build up a world class factory.•To prepare all necessary documentation related to ISO, EHS, and visualization system, Assembly Work instructions get it approved by relevant authorities and release.•To impart all necessary training (product, processes, systems, best practices) to operators regularly, update skill matrix every month.•Deputed as a safety coordinator for the whole factory and to participate in SOT ( Safety observation tour) & 5s audits weekly.•Other responsibilities included: Running meetings with other team members, identifying ways to reduce production costs, managing budgets, working with engineering and other departments to produce cost estimates for new designs, coordinated and supported product testing liaising with research and development departments, and analyzing graphs and statistics.
