I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1984 and have been a practicing veterinary surgeon ever since.I went on to qualify as a veterinary homeopath and then a lay human homeopath in the 1990's.I am a past partner of the HPTG (Homeopathic Professionals Teaching Group) in 1992, past president of the BAHVS, founder and past president of the British Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy (BAVH) and founder and past president of the Canadian Academy of Homeopathic Medicine (CAHM). I teach internationally and have written many articles and published the Little Book of Thinking Dog and Cancer in Animals - What is to be Cured? as well as contributing to other published books. In 2019 I set up an online teaching portal The True Animal Plan (TAP) aimed at giving animal owners balanced information on all aspects of pet healthcare to enable them to make informed choices regarding the healthcare decisions for their pets.I am passionate about my work and am continually seeking to improve my understanding of health and disease constantly striving to provide safe, effective options for my patients that maintain the best balance for them of physical and mental wellbeing. As part of my veterinary training at Cambridge University, I was lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to study History of Art as part of the pre-clinical tripos. This gave me an incredible chance to pursue my studies in the arts and not become mono-tracked into a science only education. When my dear friends Michael and Eileen Scott came to the end of their lives, I set up SCAF, not only to preserve and share their incredible body of work, but to encourage and promote the work of emerging artists of all ages and stages according to their wishes.
