My professional passion is to engage with others, to be of service, and to make a difference in people's lives. As a Family Law attorney in private practice, this manifested in tireless attention to individuals and families in upheaval, a commitment to the well-being of children in the system—and recognition by CASA (National Court Appointed Special Advocates) as Attorney Ad Litem of the Year. As Assistant District Attorney with Dallas County DA’s Office, similar dedication was rewarded with rapid promotions and appointment as First Chair in the majority of my jury trials. With Destination Imagination, a global competition designed to teach students critical thinking and divergent problem-solving methods, my leadership as a volunteer Coach helped my teams finish first out of 1400 US teams and those from 14 other countries, as well as earn multiple first place state titles and four regional championships. My professional experiences have honed my attention to detail, research skills, and abilities as a relationship builder. I am skilled at listening intently. I inspire people to improve and feel better about themselves, and I build trust quickly.As I transition to a new career, I see several possibilities on the horizon—in a customer advocacy/client services-related opportunity, a role impacting child welfare, or a factual/legal research-related position.
