I was the Executive General Manager, People and Culture of Adelaide and Parafield Airports and a member of the Adelaide Airport Ltd Executive Team. I retired from this role in 2020.Adelaide Airport serves more than 8 million domestic and international passengers annually with efficient, world-class services connecting with Asia Pacific and the Middle East. It is the prime gateway to South Australia and just 6km from the city CBD.I was responsible for the development and implementation of innovative people management strategies that maximise individual, team and organisational performance. I was also required to provide strategic advice whilst being a key contributor to company strategic and business processes. I was the driver of a high performance work culture that delivers an engaged, safe and values based workplace. I provided leadership and guidance to the Marketing team in relation to corporate image and brand, to position the company as a leading corporate identity. I Chaired the Community Investment Committee to ensure our partnerships align with strategic direction of the company, brand and values, ensuring outcome driven success.Through my leadership of the HR function and my innovative approach to people management, Adelaide Airport Ltd has won significant awards recognised by the Airports Council International Asia Pacific.My career, spanning over 35 years, has been spent entirely in aviation and tourism, where my knowledge and experience has been broad and ‘hands on”. I have performed a vast variety of roles including airline sales, customer service, airport operations, customer relationship management, human resource management and executive leadership. I am Vice-Chair of the Airports Council International (ACI Asia Pacific HR Committee).I am passionate about people, their performance and great quality of service through strong communication and strategic leadership.
