Responsible for UK and European policy and regulatory issues affecting advertising and marketing communications at the Advertising Association, the industry body representing British advertisers, agencies and media.

Brought in to run the advertising industry's campaign to bring broadcast advertising regulation into the ASA system and create a 'one stop shop'. Developed the industry's proposal to Ofcom and worked with Ofcom on the contracting-out process, including Parliamentary approval. The ASA took over broadcast advertising in November 2004.Worked on Communications Bill and London Olympics Bill, as well as the Ofcom consultations on new food advertising rules.

Did broad range of public affairs, public relations and regulatory work for various broadcasters, companies and trade associations, including lobbying campaigns in Brussels and Westminster, consultations and position papers, the preparation of two corporate brochures and organising two Parliamentary receptions.

Responsible for UK and European policy issues for ITV network, working with team of 4 on a variety of broadcasting issues, including digital, BBC issues, development of strategy for Communications Bill, subtitling and signing issues, and more. Represented ITV on various bodies including European Broadcasting Union and Advertising Association.
