I ensured all content was accurate, consistent, trustworthy and reflective of each brand’s house style and positive, inclusive tone. Successfully managed the fast-paced production workflow for three established brands spanning celebrity and lifestyle (Now), fashion and beauty (Look), and music and entertainment (NME), ensuring we consistently hit multiple weekly deadlines. I recruited, trained and managed a team of six copy editors to work across the titles, and was responsible for the team budget and admin. As well as working with the brands' editorial teams, I liaised with key internal and external stakeholders such as publishers, ad sales and marketing teams to facilitate the successful fulfilment of all commercial paging, including supervising the approvals process. I helped to implement a new company-wide workflow system as part of the business’s editorial transformation strategy, which improved the efficiency of the multi-platform content creation and delivery process. I also oversaw editorial quality for the brands, proofreading around 150 pages a week for sense, factual accuracy, spelling, grammar and legal compliance before final sign-off.
