With many years experience in higher education, publishing, the NHS and consultancy, I now work as a careers and workplace coach, trainer and OD consultant. Current projects include delivering online staff development and CPD for the University of Oxford; mock assessment centres for HE students; coaching support for affected staff during a re-structure; private coaching clients; career workshops for PhD students at the University of Brunel and coaching of recent unemployed or under-employed graduates. I recently designed, analysed and delivered a staff engagement survey for an Oxford college. My volunteering includes: an Independent Governor at the University of Derby; befriending phone support to local residents affected by the pandemic; Crisis, the homeless charity; and pre-HE careers talks at local schools.

This department provided student-facing services to Warwick's 26,000+ students, including careers guidance; job search; employer relations; internships; student development; volunteering. The challenge was always to make the service feel tailored, interactive and personal with limited resources; my core principles were the quality of the student experience and enabling students to realise their potential.

I re-structured this department so that it continues to successfully provide tailored staff development to all 6,500+ staff at the University of Warwick

Implemented Agenda for Change , working with staff and colleagues, and brought project implementation back on track. Reviewed induction for non-medical staff, making changes to improve staff experience and retention.

After an adverse audit of non-clinical training, I gained Board authority to develop and deliver programmes for 800+ staff. Led implementation of Agenda for Change, working collaboratively with union colleagues

Evaluated issues and took swift action to take a failing publishing list back to profit, restoring team morale, profitability and internal and external reputation. As Publisher, was responsible for new product development, market evaluation and list management

Two posts, the first as Project Manager for the 2nd edition of the Oxford English Dictionary, and the second as Project Manager for the refurbishment of the building
