As Trustee, I chaired the Physical Plant Committee and oversaw the construction of more than a dozen new schools in less than 5 years. Negotiated settlements with teachers’ union to avoid lengthy strikes. Listened to and took action on school board-related concerns of parents and students. Attended dozens of graduations, a highlight for me as Trustee.
