As a founding employee of Asian Century Foundation (formerly known as China India Foundation), I have overseen the growth of an idea into an organization. ACF was started in 2018 by Ashish Dhawan with the aim to increase mutual understanding and collaboration between the two countries. Through education, cultural, knowledge, and people-to-people exchanges, ACF aims to bridge the gap in understanding and build deeper ties.My time was divided between working on the Education vertical and building the organization from within. As a part of the Education team, I was in charge of the China-India Visiting Scholars Fellowship, an opportunity for young researchers, academics, and professionals in India to expand the scope of their research and include China in their learnings. The fellowship is housed at Ashoka University. For this project, I- designed the project from end-to-end, including determining the objective and timelines- finetuned the budget and secured funding for the project- consulted industry experts to improve the project- pitched the program to leading academic and research institutions in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Tianjin, signing on 6 institutions during the first visit and 5 during the pandemic- created the marketing plan for India and successfully rolled it out- ran the application process from start-to-finish at the ground level- worked one-on-one with the 14 fellows chosen for the 2020-2021 cohort, guiding them through the course of the fellowship- reworked the timeline and budget after Covid-19 majorly impacted the project, so that it would still be viable and could continue to run after the crisis is over.Additionally, I led the research on the China-India Technical & Vocational Education & Training (TVET) space, pitching the program to international funding organizations and laying out the framework for public-private partnership programs with state governments.

Initially, my work was centered around building the organization from the ground up, enhancing our network, and understanding which projects would help fulfill the aim of the organization. We spent significant time scoping out the work done by other organizations, assessing the gaps in the system, and then developing potential projects. After getting a clear understanding of where our services would be required the most, we began developing programs to address those needs. This included:- Devising the vision for the organization based on international best practices and nonprofit legal requirements- Researching and analyzing the India-China economic and political landscape to understand which emerging issues to focus on during our inception- Developing, overseeing, and executing external communication by authoring ACF's concept note and drafting program pitches, which were then used to raise funding- Cultivating relationships by liaising with multiple stakeholders, including diplomats and Indian national administrators to onboard them to our organization's goals and establish ACF as a preferred partner for research and execution in government-run projects- Designing the website and running the social media accounts

As the Assistant Manager: Knowledge, Insights, & CSR, I:- Conducted in-depth research for prospective clients to devise strategic business development plans through sales pitches tailored to clients' individual needs with distinct communication strategies; acquired four new clients in six months- Established Action Alliance for Recycling (Beverage) Cartons (AARC), India's largest association of beverage companies, to build an efficient waste management ecosystem and work collectively towards building a circular economy • Drafted the mandate for member organizations and created the funding plan • Developed engagement strategies to empower the informal sector, including waste pickers and scrap dealers, by involving and providing funds to waste management companies, recyclers, and NGOs- Designed a media campaign for one of India's largest English and Hindi newspapers; pitched to multi-billion dollar corporates and secured $250,000 for the first campaign- Developed grassroots health intervention programs for state governments to improve living standards in rural areas, including training programs and community outreach strategies• Created and structured state- and district-level budgets of over $300,000 for a PPP program to ensure medical penetration in rural areas with assisted information, education, and communication programs; approved by India's central government and implemented across three states

After graduating early, I continued to work for the Carleton College Residential Life Department in a supervisor role. In this role, I was responsible for managing a team of 13 RAs, ensuring that their communities were thriving without any hiccups. I was there to support and guide them, ensuring that they are meeting their weekly goals and helping them in case they were unable to by assessing the gaps and how to fix them. Additionally, if they felt something was out of their capabilities, especially with conflict medication with residents, I would step in and either (a) show them the way to do it in the future or (b) medicate conflict myself, in case it was a situation that was too difficult for an RA to handle.I also organized a college-wide community event, budgeting nearly $1000 for the entire program. I was able to successfully plan the program end-to-end, carry out communication with any relevant college department, and delegate tasks to the entire RA team to ensure that they were able to perform their duties to the best of their abilities and to what they were suited to do.

As a part of the PEPS team, my services include computer and projection support for presentations in classrooms and meeting rooms; video and audio recording, Audio/Visual support for campus events; and video dubbing and media conversions. I also assist in helping students to utilize the best technology for their class, event, or presentation.

I work with at-risk kids who may fall behind on grade levels at Bridgewater Elementary. Through a variety of interventions, I help them increase their reading speed, their overall grasp of English, basic mathematical concepts, and slightly more abstract mathematical problems. I work one-on-one with the students I have been assigned to.
