Total project savings of $2 million dollars in reduced workhour expense and cost-avoidance via duplicate payments annually.• Improve payment method efficiency for cleaners - Project to reduce multiple payment channels and mistake-proofing process to ensure no duplicate payments are made for the same cleaning services. Cross-functional project team includes finance, supply chain, and operations. Current total cost reduction of $750,000 annually.• Streamline annual vehicle inventory process - Project to reduce manual work hours associated with completing annual vehicle inventory. Project connected available data sources and vehicle maintenance records to determine those vehicles which had not been utilized to limit the number of vehicles requiring an annual physical inventory. Project saved over $290,000 in work hours associated with performing the annual vehicle inventory.Certified USPS Lean Leader, a 9 month training program, designed to provide advanced Lean tools to certified Black Belts in the Postal Service.

Major projects include:• Use of Lean Six Sigma tools to evaluate root causes and solutions for systemic issues hampering efficient mail processing• Cost/Benefit and ROI analysis for all projects• Actively involved in bid realignment including management-union labor meetings to establish employee schedules in accordance with operational needs• Successfully participated in a Lean Six Sigma project to improve Priority service scores by optimizing processing within the mail processing plant. The three month project improved service scores from 82% to 87.44%. The solutions also included improving mail movement within the postal facility and reducing transportation needs between facilities. This project saved $641,000 annually. • Successfully led Black Belt project to optimize machine usage and reduce waste and redundancy. This project saved over $2 million dollars in labor reductions, maintenance reductions and machine usage. This project was awarded as one of the most successful Lean Six Sigma projects in the Postal Service for fiscal year 2010
