Paid student internship at the KU Memorial Union involving the production and formatting of print and digital materials for the promotion of various on-campus events. Included designs for fliers, posters, social media graphics, and other more job-specific items (t-shirts, buttons, stickers, and logos). Many projects were collaborative in nature and always followed a rigorous process of proofing out iterations, communicating with clients, and incorporating feedback before submitting final products.

Paid student internship during my Sophomore year for the University of Kansas's Academic Achievement and Access Center (AAAC). Responsible for the planning and design of numerous print and digital materials—including but not limited to bus advertisements, icons, e-mail inserts, mailers, social media graphics, brochures, flyers, and wayfinding signs—for the purpose of assisting, promoting, and progressing the organization and its offered services.Each of these was created with careful consideration for numerous clients' preferences and the extensive KU Brand guidelines, which include strict requirements in relation to color schemes, typefaces, and photo treatments. These restrictions provided for many opportunities to produce creative designs while adhering to a pre-established brand.This position was a key part of the AAAC's Student Marketing Team, which included myself, a web design graduate intern, and two upperclassmen social media interns. Through regular meetings and repeated interdisciplinary collaboration, I was offered invaluable learning experiences through projects like social media promotions, webpage overhauls, marketing focus groups, and a year-end marketing plan that established the AAAC's visual identity and communicative strategies for the following year(s).
