The objective of the internship period was "Standardization of Tissue Culture and Regeneration Protocols of Tomato" where the variation in terms of germination and growth of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) were observed under in-vitro conditions, where the explant was exposed to varying concentrations and duration of chemicals Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and Ethanol for estimation of optimum germination rate, furthermore the regeneration rate of the was observed by excising the from plants which arose after germination and growth. Which were transferred to a new in-vitro system which consisted of an addition of plant growth hormones (growth regulators) IBA (Auxin) and BAP (Cytokinin ) which induced growth of adventitious roots and shoots in order to determine optimum regeneration protocol .
