I am employed as a Drilling Engineer with OIL, where my career has been marked by a series of progressively responsible roles across both offshore and onshore operations. Beginning with my tenure on an offshore Jack-up rig, I honed my skills in roles ranging from Assistant Driller to Driller and Tool Pusher. Transitioning to onshore operations, I assumed positions such as Driller, Shift Incharge, and Safety Officer, further broadening my expertise in drilling operations and safety protocols.Currently stationed at the base office, my responsibilities encompass a multifaceted portfolio. I oversee critical aspects including well profiles, GTO (Generalized Time Operations), Drilling Plan preparation, Directional Drilling, and Contract Management. Additionally, I am tasked with managing regional crisis situations, ensuring the continuity of operations even in challenging circumstances.In alignment with ONGC's commitment to safety excellence, I play a pivotal role in analyzing near misses and devising proactive solutions to mitigate risks. This includes spearheading initiatives to enhance safety protocols and cultivate a culture of safety awareness within the organization.In summary, my role as a Drilling Engineer entails a comprehensive blend of technical proficiency, operational oversight, and safety leadership, contributing to the continued success and operational integrity of ONGC's drilling endeavors. In addition to this , I am accountable for following roles:1) Design and selection of BHA & bit2) Run pre-job hydraulics 3) Run Anticollision plots4) Run Torque & Drag analysis 5) Creating well profiles6) Review & validate drilling plans7) Review & validate side track feasibility studies.8) Co-ordinating & participating in kick off meetings & DWOPs9) Review & validation of Directional plan, drilling fluid & cementing program, abandonment plans in coordination with stake holders.10) I have working knowledge of OISD and API standards applicable to Oil & Gas Industry .11) Drilling rig deployment feasibility at drill site & preparing scope of civil & other works.12) Monitoring rig operations , round the clock .
