Working as Applied Thermal Analyst:- Responsible for thermal-hydraulic analysis using advanced CFD methods. Thermal Hydraulics analysis of casks designed for storage and transport of spent nuclear fuel is the primary work scope. The work involved detailed CFD based thermal modelling of of casks using ANSYS FLUENT software. HOLTEC works with various nuclear organizations- CFD works include thermal analysis of pressurized casks used for waste nuclear fuel deposition.- Transient analysis to capture time bound operations and accidents like fire for casks storing spent Nuclear Fuel.- Performed advanced CFD thermal analysis for cyclic vacuum drying, Forced Helium Dehydration, fire accident evaluation for nuclear fuel storage casks.- Authored several calculation packages using USNRC approved methodologies for modelling Dry Storage Casks for long term storage. Preparation of equipment licensing reports for USNRC regulatory approval.
