About Summer Chapman

I am a First-generation student at Florida State University on a pre-medical track with a planned gap year. I have maintained a 3.99 FSU gpa and participated in over 1,500 between direct patient care hours and research. Currently, I am employed as a teaching assistant for a medical assisting course and a certified medical assistant at an urgent care. I assist as an un-paid research assistant for two psychology labs, a meta-analysis on Parkinson’s Diseases and a systematic review for youth stigma and its relation to suicide. I serve as the Secretary/Risk management officer for Phi Delta Epsilon, a premedical co-ed fraternity with 140 active members. I remain active in the community volunteering weekly at an animal shelter and regularly attending fundraisers.
