Changes at Frisco is a specialized Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient program serving child and adolescents with behavioral health issues such as anxiety, depression, defiance and mood disorders ages 5-18.  Therapists are focused on the individual needs of the patients, collaborating with current providers as well as actively engaging discharge planning to ensure the best continuum of care.  Family involvement is an important part of the treatment process through weekly family educational opportunities and mandatory weekly family therapy.  This will focus on educating the support system on treatment goals and in engaging the patient in a supportive manner in their other environments.  Provide clinical and operational oversight to a newly constructed off-site freestanding day treatment center for children and adolescents. Responsible for the program development and coordination of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.

Services include a thorough evaluation, medication management, patient education and may serve as a complement to a patient’s current treatment plan. A more holistic way of diagnosing and treating patients using genetic testing, sleep studies and EEGs to better individualize care. The belief that the patient benefits most by following the psychiatric evaluation with a dynamic and in-depth plan of action which is focused on the emotional and physical health of the patient is best. Excel Center of Lewisville is a specialized day treatment center meeting the emotial, behavioral and/or chemical dependency needs of children and adolescents, ages 5-18. The Excel Center of Lewisville is a less restrictive treatment environment than an inpatient facility. It is a place to treat children when outpatient is not enough, but the child is not appropriate for inpatient. Assessments are offered at no charge Monday- Friday 8-5.  Responsible for clinical and structural oversight and outcomes of a large privately owned, community outpatient psychiatric clinic Successfully developed/implemented systems and schedules to assure efficient and quality oriented services while maintaining a broad-based knowledge of resources and technologies necessary for the provision of services offered by the clinic. Provided clinical and administrative supervision for all 30+ staff members, individually as well as teams on a weekly basis. Evoked an image of leadership in knowledge, ability and demeanor while encouraging support among staff, consumers, advocacy groups, providers and payer sources Successfully doubled number of ACT team patients, increased staff productivity by 25 percent, and led a team of ACT, rehab, clinic, clerical and a jail diversion program effectively.

 Provide mobile crisis assessments on call to area hospitals Coordinate admissions to inpatient hospitalization when criteria is met Provide referrals to outside agencies and community resources when needed

 Complete emergency screenings after hours at local emergency rooms, jails, and community to determine the least restrictive environment for clients in crisis. Provide follow up visits with clients to provide continuity of care after initial crisis. Provide referrals to community resources and worked as a liaison between clients, hospitals and community agencies

 Provide therapeutic intervention services and education to adults and their families with mental illness primarily schizophrenia, bipolar and major depressive disorder to assist clients become independent in the community. Led a weekly skills training group teaching clients anger management, coping skills, and many other life skills needed to better fit in their environment. Completed assessments to authorize appropriate level of care for consumers Mentored and supervised interns to assist them in gaining experience in the field.
