Hi, I'm Summer.I work as a Health Promotion Coordinator at Magna International.My two passions are Research and Health Education. I use my skill in both of these areas to answer questions, discover and apply practical solutions, and support the health of others.Health Education and Promotion: I work as a Health Promotion Coordinator with a focus on addressing the needs of workers and the largest health issues of employees today. I have also worked in sexual and mental health promotion in my previous volunteer and paid positions. Everyone deserves access to the information they need to make decisions that are best for their health and current circumstances.Research: I have conducted two qualitative research projects with the guidance of an excellent supervisor. I am also hoping to build my skills in quantitative methods, so I can adapt to best suit the needs of a given project. I believe in prioritizing knowledge translation, which is why I communicated the findings of my studies using creative writing pieces of poetry and fiction in addition to my academic reports.Prioritizing communication and collaboration in everything:I have experience in leading teams and enjoy organizing projects and delegating tasks while supporting the collaboration of all team members. My experience in improv, theatre, and writing make me an effective communicator and director who is flexible and quick on my feet. I bring a playfulness and curiosity to collaboration that allows everyone to feel confident in taking initiative and sharing their valuable ideas.
