Summer Comstock joined the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2017 as a coach with the Arizona Diamondbacks Baseball Academy and currently serves as the Associate General Counsel. She advises on the day-to-day management of legal and compliance matters, including those relating to real estate, sales and marketing, broadcasting, finance; information technology, special projects, stadium operations, baseball operations, litigation, intellectual property, and general employment law for the Diamondbacks, Arizona Diamondbacks Events and Entertainment, and Chase Field. Summer arrived at the Diamondbacks after working as an associate at a private litigation firm. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a personal baseball coach for the actresses of League of Their Own on Amazon Prime Video, participated in the United States Women’s National Baseball Team Trials, and worked in A & R and Legal Affairs for Big Machine Label Group. She spent the beginning of her career working in action sports management, marketing, and retail brand presentation for Skullcandy, Nike SB, Rockwell Time, and other action sport/lifestyle brands. Summer holds a Juris Doctorate from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and a Bachelor of Science from St. John’s University. At ASU, Summer was the Allan “Bud” Selig Sports Law and Business Scholar, served as a Center Scholar for the ASU Center for Law, Science and Innovation, and earned a certificate in Law, Science and Technology. Summer is licensed to practice law in Arizona and Utah.
