I am an experienced early childhood teacher and outdoor educator. I am passionate about outdoor advocacy, inter-sectional environmentalism, sustainable aqua/agriculture, and recreation.I have experience teaching, caring for, and learning with kids of all ages (infant to high school). I have a biology degree from SUNY Geneseo, with a focus on conservation biology and environmental science. I have previously worked as a volunteer for the Portland Audubon answering phone calls for the Wildlife Care Center. I learned a lot about common wildlife conflicts/scenarios and how to direct the public to act in the best interest of local wildlife. I also have experience working as a secretary for SUNY Geneseo's environmental organization (GEO) in which I helped to organize community events regarding sustainability and environmental and social justice issues, as well as farmer's markets and composting workshops. I am looking to pivot my career back towards the outdoor industry and use my background as an educator to work on community outreach projects and advocate for the planet and all people that call it home.
