Automotive professional with 13+ years work experience. I started my career in the commercial vehicle, braking domain. Experienced in requirement management, design, development, validation, homologation, troubleshooting of braking systems and its related aggregates etc. I enjoy solving problems in cross functional teams and strongly believe in getting to the root cause of a problem thru “Gemba”. I started my career as a Graduate Engineer at ZF (Formerly WABCO India Ltd.), where I got the opportunity to develop and test Brake Actuators. This role gave me hands on experience in development, prototyping, testing, project management etc. Post my 4 year stint at WABCO, I took up a role in the Volvo Group as a Brakes Engineer, working on HD Trucks for the emerging markets. I gradually handled multiple responsibilities in this role which gave me end to end knowledge on HD/MD Braking Systems and Vehicle Dynamics. I also handled numerous Special Vehicle projects for markets such as GCC, SEA etc. with varying homologation requirements.I later moved to an exciting role as a Lead Engineer at UD Trucks delivering Braking solutions (Air Management, actuation, foundation, braking related control systems etc.). This role gave me challenging projects such as integration of Electronic Braking System, upgrading the platform for higher GVW's etc. I also did a brief stint in Volvo Trucks North America where I worked on integrating Vehicle Control functions related to braking, namely Trailer braking and External Braking Requests (used by ADAS systems) This opportunity allowed me to network with colleagues globally and in implementing the said functions on Class 8 trucks. This assignment also gave me an opportunity to work actively on development and implementation of redundant braking systems for Autonomous Trucks.I have now taken up a role in UD Trucks as a Vehicle Function Owner for Chassis functions such as braking, park brake, vehicle stability, suspension, TPMS etc. for the next generation of trucks and EE architecture.
