Steered the company to achieve the highest Profit after Tax of Rs. 3589 Crores (US $ 595 Million) in 2012 -13.2. Acquired 20% stake in M/s Carrizo's shale oil producing asset in Niobrara basin in Colorado, USA in Oct 2012.3. Established a new company office in Houston, USA, in Dec 2012, to be used as a hub for fast track oil and gas asset acquisition in North America.4. Acquired 4% Stake in upcoming super giant gas field in Area 1, Rovuma 1 Block in Mozambique at a highly competitive value of US $ 990 million. This will prove to be a very important building block for India’s future natural gas security as Mozambique is an upstream linked LNG liquefaction project of global scale, relatively in close proximity to India for LNG supplies.5. Acquired 2 offshore blocks each in Bangladesh and Myanmar, through international bidding in 2014. 6. Successful exploration campaigns in these blocks could help in building better energy security.7. Led the marketing team for the "Offer for Sale"(OFS) for divestment of Govt. of India’s 10% stake in the company during 2013. The offer was oversubscribed 2.6 times.

1. Upstream hydrocarbon Advisory body to the Govt. of India for promoting sound management of the country’s oil and gas resources, and assessment/ evaluation of futuristic resource viz. Gas Hydrate. Close association with the Ministry on all policy matters and regulations covering Indian Oil & gas sector. 2. Member of various working groups, Expert Committees, Bilateral Delegations.3. Head of the Management Committee of more than 350 exploration, production and Coal Bed Methane blocks (over 250 Production Sharing Contracts) and chaired nearly 1100 Management Committee Meetings, wherein the investment decisions of more than US $ 20 Billion were reviewed, approved and adopted. 4. Monitored Petroleum Exploration contracts and Mining Leases awarded to National Oil companies, outside of the bid rounds, contributing 75% of country’s oil and gas production. Evaluation and approval of commercial discoveries and development plans of oil, gas and CBM fields.5. Instrumental in the efficient implementation of India’s exploration strategy: Implemented NELP VII, VIII and IX exploration Bidding Rounds, and CBM IV Round of Bidding, and concluded with the award of about 180,000 Sq. Km sedimentary basin area through international competitive bidding. Interaction with more than 100 E&P companies worldwide resulted in the entry of global Oil & Gas majors such as BP, BHP Billiton, ENI, Gazprom, Santos, British Gas, Cairn, Arrow and several other companies that generated potential exploration investment commitment of about US $ 2 Billion.6. Conducted assessment of Shale Oil/Gas resources of the country.7. Played a key role in the success of British Petroleum-RIL Deal: British Petroleum farmed-in and took 30% stake in 23 E&P Blocks of RIL at an investment of US $ 7.2 Billion.8. Played a key role in the success of Cairn-Vedanta Deal: Vedanta Resources, a UK based company acquired 58% stake in Cairn India’s E&P business at an investment of over US $ 8 billion.
