As a postdoctoral research fellow at Università di Trento, I am currently working on reducing the use of bronze in gears by the Directed Energy Deposition (DED) technique. The study involves DED process characterization and investigating the wear properties of DED bronze. Previously, I studied the static and fatigue properties of cast iron and the effect of internal porosity on the same. I use advanced techniques such as X-ray tomography, scanning electron microscopy, and image analysis to study the effects of location and size of internal defects and graphite nodule distribution on the mechanical behavior of the material.I have a PhD in Materials Science from Università di Trento, where I designed, developed, and characterized additively manufactured Ti64 cellular materials for biomedical implants. I performed static and fatigue testing of different cell topologies and developed lattice-based and trabecular cell topologies to match the mechanical properties of human bone. I also used finite element analysis to correlate the as-designed and as-built geometry and compensated for the geometrical deviations caused by the additive manufacturing process. My industrial experience in the automotive sector helped me develop and master CAD and FE analysis skills. I am a proficient user of Inventor, Hypermesh, Ansys Mechanical, and Nastran. Along with these, I have experience in various mechanical testing machines and material characterization techniques. I am also certified in the Six Sigma Yellow belt from ASQ. I am a self-motivated and growth-oriented individual who is passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to solve challenging problems and create innovative, long-lasting solutions. I am a quick learner and an efficient team player. My goal is to pursue a career in the field of mechanical engineering and material science and be part of a better world.
