As a Harvest Intern at Argyle Winery in the Willamette Valley, I am engaged in various winemaking activities across the cellar and crush pad. Working under the guidance of winemakers Nate klosterman and Rachael Halo, I am actively involved in essential cellar operations, including monitoring fermentation, managing barrel aging, and performing routine maintenance. Additionally, I play a significant role in crush pad activities, handling and processing grapes, managing sorting and crushing operations, and ensuring smooth workflow during the harvest season.My role at Argyle Winery allows me to apply my extensive background in the industry, contribute effectively to high-quality wine production, and further develop my skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

I am currently proud to be working at Maryhill Winery, located in Washington, United States, since September 1, 2022. With a passion for wine and a solid educational background, having completed my Bachelor's degree in Wine Technology in 2020, I have found my calling in the exciting world of winemaking.In my role as a Harvest Intern at Maryhill Winery, I have gained valuable experience in various aspects of the winemaking process. I have actively participated in crushpad activities, including grape processing and analysis, as well as ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of the facilities. During the intense harvest season, I dedicated long hours, typically 12-14 hours per day, to contribute to the success of the operation.Additionally, I have been involved in cellar activities, such as pumpovers, wine additions, enoculation, and cellar cleaning. Working with barrel operations has also been an integral part of my responsibilities, including barrel ups, barrel downs, and additions to barrel topping. Collaborating with the bottling team has given me a comprehensive understanding of the production process from start to finish.Moreover, I have utilized my skills in the laboratory, where I have conducted wine analysis and various tests to ensure quality control and product consistency. This experience has equipped me with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in winemaking.Overall, my time at Maryhill Winery has been instrumental in shaping my career and deepening my knowledge and expertise in the wine industry. I am passionate about contributing to the success of the winemaking process and look forward to leveraging my skills and experience to make a positive impact in the industry.
