I am an energy utilities consultant with a strong passion for learning and innovation, backed by over five years of industry experience. For approximately 1.5 years, I worked as a performance optimization specialist, focusing on projects such as coal, oil and gas power plants, waste-to-energy (WtE), carbon capture (CCUS), and other renewable energy initiatives. My primary responsibilities included conducting feasibility studies, financial modelling, performance evaluation and optimization, FEED studies, thermal calculations and simulations, proposal estimation, bid evaluation, and carbon market research. The remaining 3.5 years of my career were dedicated to R&D in the design and development of diverse process heating & cooling equipment , such as industrial boilers, thermic fluid heaters, and other heat exchangers. I was involved in product design and management, energy transition, decarbonization, waste to energy initiatives, and studies on fossil and biomass fuel combustion behavior. In addition to my practical experience, I have a strong understanding of PLM, Oracle, Solid Edge, VBA and MS Office packages. To solve intricate problems, I leverage mathematical modeling, thermal design simulations, data analytics, CFD, AFT (Arrow Fathom), Thermoflow power plant simulation tools, and basic HYSYS.I enjoy generating new ideas and devising feasible solutions to broadly relevant problems.Black & Veatch (March 2023 to Present)About My Role: At present, I hold the position of a thermal performance and optimization specialist. In this capacity, my primary responsibilities encompass conducting feasibility studies, performing financial calculations, and engaging in thermal calculations and simulations. I also contribute to proposal estimation, technology comparison & selection of gas/steam turbines, heat exchangers, and various other equipment. I also play a crucial role in supporting renewable projects such as waste to energy, solar,Carbon Capture, Semi dry FGD, wind etc.Thermax Ltd (Aug 2019 to Feb 2023)As an Innovation Engineer, I was responsible for spearheading multiple projects in New Product development. This involves leading various stages including brainstorming, concept generation,concept finalization, thermal design and calculations, mechanical design & calculations (adhering to codes such as IBR, ASME, EN), material selection, project execution, trials and testing, and ultimately product launch.I possess expertise in product design and management, allowing me to effectively oversee the development process from inception to completion.
