Economic researcher and policy wonk interested in energy transitions and climate change, and technology and society.Currently researching the policy and institutional set-up of the Government of West Bengal in the renewable energy sector at iFOREST. Previously studied the institutional capacity of subnational renewable energy development agencies, and supported the implementation of the Odisha Renewable Energy Policy, 2022.Before this, I worked with the Policy team at J-PAL South Asia, supporting the adoption of evidence from randomised evaluations regarding EdTech for the Governments of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.I have also authored essays, exploring the spread of disinformation, and the effect of neighborhood management apps on domestic workers. My work has been published by the Digital Empowerment Foundation and the Rest of World. I co-write my pieces with artist, essayist, and co-nfidant, Tanya Maheshwari.I started my career at Essai Education as a Sr. Counsellor, where I aided student clients in portfolio development and preparation, enabled independent research, and provided advisory on admissions to undergraduate and graduate-level programmes in the Global North.
