Surendra is a qualified Cost and Management Accountant and a Hedge fund accountant.Currently he is working with Apex fund services in Hedge fund accounting team. His focus areas include:✔️ Booking of trades such as Bonds Equity, Options and features.✔️ Foreign exchange transactions booking.✔️ Posting Cash transactions in paxus(accounting software) based on the broker reports.✔️ Reconciliation of cash transactions in books of accounts with the broker along with the validation of corporate actions and trade settlements.✔️ Performing reconciliation for trades i.e position reconciliation in terms of quality, price and Market value.If any position break in Portfolio, a proper justification to be provided.✔️ Responsible for creation of security set-ups for various types of securities and underlying assets such as Equity, bond, ETF, Structured products, Options, Futures and CFD's.✔️ Verify if any corporate actions took place for the Nav period and perform necessary actions if required.✔️ Ensuring the deals for the fund are properly booked by TA team and taking necessary actions of any discrepancies.✔️ Performing the pricing and Corporate action checks with Bloomberg for all the Listed securities in the fund.✔️ Contact with the custodian and client for events announced in the markets that impact Nav.✔️ If necessary reach out to the custodian if any discrepancies in the corporate actions and get them resolved.
