I began my career as a Diploma Engineering Trainee in the Online PED Die Casting division, where I primarily managed maintenance and servicing of Acheson and Wollin spray tools, ensuring their readiness with spare maintenance for nozzles, core pins, and diaphragms. I maintained and serviced fixtures for runner and overflow cutting and trimming, while also enhancing layout and productivity of post-casting and fettling cells. I implemented low-cost automation for post-casting processes, aimed at reducing breakdowns of spray tools and facilities. Additionally, I introduced kaizens to improve existing die casting processes.Later, I transitioned into the role of Process QC Engineer, responsible for monitoring and controlling process parameters and die temperatures across 37 HPDC machines. I optimized processes to enhance product quality and implemented Poke Yoke systems to prevent rejection parts. I conducted correlation studies on defects and implemented action plans to reduce customer-end line rejections, such as with Hanon and WABCO parts. My subsequent role was as a Process Quality Assurance Engineer in R&D, focusing on the successful development and validation of new products and processes related to pressure die casting. I optimized process parameters for quality improvement, cost reduction, and production efficiency. Collaborating closely with design, tooling engineers, and production teams, I resolved issues during the proving phase and facilitated smooth transitions to production. I documented all procedures and results, adhering to quality standards and enabling continuous improvement in product design, manufacturing processes, and quality control measures. I also implemented new technologies to enhance process robustness and consistent part quality, ensuring timely PPAP submission for improved customer satisfaction.I have a proven track record in problem-solving within the pressure die casting process, complemented by certified training from NADCA.
