Getting close to 30 years experience in International Trade. Having previously worked with manufacturers, distributors, commodities traders and freight forwarders both in Imports and Exports. With an extensive knowledge of Letters of Credit from an importers and exporters perspective. Previously held supervisory positions; able to multi-task; self-motivated; able to problem solve, make decisions and act before having to re-act.Co-ordinated Australia and New Zealand stocktakes, managed inventory, forecasting, warehouse management and stock control.All aspects of international trade from overseas purchasing, creating sales contracts, freight negotiation, air and sea transport - including perishables and dangerous goods - to completion of the sale. Liaising with government bodies domestic and international, remaining up to date with the ever changing legalities that are a part of moving products between borders.Co-hosted a pharmaceutical company’s successful C-Tpat compliance application. Been commended by ACS for best practice after a mining equipment distributor’s in-depth audit of their import/export processes.Was specifically employed by a safety equipment manufacturer to streamline their overseas purchases and recover lost revenue via drawback claims.Employed by a commodities trader due to my knowledge of L/C’s and Ozdocs system.Part of a special projects team testing a new internal computer system, which included writing extensive SOP’s, auditing internal departments and recommending continuous improvements to business practices.
