• Lead and manage the College of Business advancement team and all aspects of the program including the creation of operating plans, identifying funding priorities and setting strategies to secure principal, major and blended gifts, facilitate annual program and stewardship plans. • Maintain an active portfolio of $1 million+ donors and prospects.• In partnership with the Dean and Foundation colleagues across disciplines, have raised more than $35 million.

• Directed and managed all aspects of the $10 million Foundation including major gifts, annual programs, planned giving, board management, communications, video production, alumni relations, and special events.• Worked closely with the Chief Financial Officer to oversee annual audit, budgeting, and financial reporting of the Foundation.• Worked on an unprecedented 8-month campaign to bring Northern Illinois University’s engineering program to RVC. Upon my departure (due to recruitment to University of Central Florida), $3.3 million had been raised.

• Managed all aspects of a 12-member development team which included principal and major gifts, annual programs, marketing, communications, social media, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and community benefit programs.• Participated in the planning and implementation of the $1.2 billion Duke Forward Campaign for Duke Medicine. Specifically charged with leading the Children’s $150 million campaign which included capital, program, research, and operational support.• Member of the grant team that secured a $20 million gift from The Duke Endowment to support the building of the new Children’s Hospital.

• Directed and managed all aspects of a comprehensive development program which included major gifts, annual programs, communications, special events, and alumni relations.• Successfully completed a $3 million scholarship initiative as part of a university-wide campaign with matching funds from The Duke Endowment.• In partnership with the Dean, managed the Duke University School of Nursing Board of Advisor’s and Nursing Alumni Council.

• Directed and managed the major gift teams at all eight Advocate Healthcare System hospitals which included Christ Medical Center/Hope Children’s Hospital, Lutheran General/Lutheran General Children’s Hospital, Good Samaritan, Good Shepherd, South Suburban, Illinois Masonic, Bethany, and Trinity.• Developed comprehensive strategic fundraising plans for the eight hospitals within the Advocate system. • Ultimately responsible and accountable for designing, building, implementing, soliciting, and producing a results-oriented major gift program for the inaugural $125 million Campaign that supported Advocate Health Care’s priorities at the site, system, and community-based levels. Prior to my departure, $110 million had been raised.

• Successfully managed portfolio and closed gifts of $250,000+ for the College of Law.• Left after one year due to being actively recruited by Advocate Charitable Foundation for Vice President of Operations position.

• Successfully completed a $30 million capital campaign - Building Futures - to construct a state-of-the-art athletic/convocation center. • Created the first strategic plan for the Development and Alumni programs.

• Successful grant writer that secured awards at the private, state, and federal levels for the underserved Hispanic communities of Pilsen, Little Village and Back of the Yards.• Secured more than $3 million from one Federal 330 grant.
