Under instructor contracts with the College of Continuing Education I edit legislative reports, code qualitative data and generate curriculum content. I am also a trusted note-taker for government agency meetings, stakeholder convenings, strategic planning meetings, and focus groups. California state agencies I've worked with include: CDFA (California Department of Food and Agriculture), CDSS (CalFresh Contractor summits), CDPH (Chronic Disease Prevention), Caltrans (Local Technical Assistance Program) CalFIRE, and others.

In this role I edited business and management cases that expose students to real-world business problems and scenarios. To ensure discoverability in the digital database, I edited case titles for SEO terms and edited abstracts to encapsulate the main conflict in the first sentence or two. I worked with authors to identify learning objectives and align them with case content, teaching strategies, and discussion questions. I coached authors to develop a clear "decision point" or focus in each case, and worked with them on signposting, graphics, and other features to help readers navigate the material and be able to discuss it in a classroom setting.

In this role I collaborated with authors of peer reviewed self-help, scientific, scholarly, and professional psychology titles to optimize their content and presentation for their intended audience. As part of my developmental editing service I generated enticing and SEO-friendly book & chapter titles, developed organizational schemes, and helped authors distill their research into informative, actionable content. I proposed graphics, reflection questions, and other features to engage readers, and assisted authors with commissioning art and obtaining copyright releases.
