Senior Systems EngineerClassmates Dec 2019 - Oct 2021Seattle WaLaid off 3 weeks after a total hip replacement before which i was assured (I have that email) they would hold my job because they knew my THR would take me over the 12 weeks of FMLA. I was totally cut off from any funds for all of 2022 - zero income for the whole year as Anthem cut me off when FMLA of WA state did on 10/7/2021 when my 12 weeks of fmla were done. They laid me off 5 days later on 10/12 saying the "company had pivoted" and that was 3 weeks after my second total hip replacement. I cancelled the cobra check in the mail and lost everything - ended up on medicaid and it took me 2 months to get a letter from classmates to prove they laid me off so that i could get food stamps. I could not get UI because my doctor would not sign that i was able to work - in her words i will not lie. I was cut off and left with nothing after my exceptional reviews with classmates from 2021 I tried to talk to them but their lawyers would simply only talk to a lawyer and since i was totally disabled and unable to find a lawyer - i simply was left to lose everything. My total income was my last RSA funds from Starbucks when THEY also laid me off with the same words. The position of "Senior System Engineer" is no longer required at this company - Starbucks left off - over 50 years old and Classmates left off - without experience in the cloud which they told me on hire i would get training for AFTER i converted the bare metal systems into VMWARE.
