Reporting to the SVP of Finance Shared Services (FSS), the Vice President Record-to-Report (R2R) manages and coordinates the delivery of R2R services for Vericast’s FSS organization. The primary objective is to lead the R2R month-end, quarterly and year-end financial close activities for multiple segments and legal entities in accordance with financial planning and reporting calendars. Responsible for supporting the development and execution of R2R finance shared services strategy leading on-going process improvement opportunities within the tower deploying new technology and integrating additional resources as necessary. The VP directs a team of approximately 50 employees within the FSS organization. This position will be accountable for the on-going monitoring of applicable R2R service level agreements to ensure that agreed upon delivery metrics are met.KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:• Promote and maintain responsibility for the team’s internal control environment and accurate transactional processing in compliance with US GAAP.• Develop and maintain robust framework for process compliance within the FSS which includes standardized processes and a compliance self-audit program. • Lead and manage the technical and interpersonal skills training requirements for the FSS Record-to-Report team members. • Drive business process improvement activities within the R2R team in connection with other FSS teams and throughout the finance community. • Participate as part of FSS Leadership team and support overall FSS initiatives.• Support the Corporate Controller and FPA teams in preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. • Review and implement accounting policies/processes to support these business changes. • Enforce compliance with accounting and/or company policies.
