• Provide highly focused, confidential and effective support to the Leader and Deputy Leader of Council to ensure the smooth running of the office• Review with the Leadership their commitments and priorities and manage their diaries • Arrange meetings for the Leadership and prepare Agendas and Minutes, arranging hospitality, transport and venue, circulating and monitoring Action Plans arising from meetings• Review incoming mail and emails with a view to prioritisation, seeking officer views and responding on behalf of the Leader and Deputy Leader where appropriate• In the absence of the Leader or Deputy Leader, ensure that proper action is taken when urgent queries or issues arise• Support the Leadership on internal corporate Working Groups and meetings with external bodies/agencies, minuting where appropriate• First point of contact with members of the public in addressing any Leadership, constituency or Council query• Assisted in organisation of the council's first Carbon Reduction Conference with responsibility for all administration

• Management of newly introduced skills test centre with responsibility for structure of opening times, record keeping and invigilation• Provided student support and guidance regarding skills test matters• Administrative support to the Primary PGCE Programme Leader producing course documentation and designing and updating student database
