Susan Wright has over 25 years of steady service in the field of education. Her career began as a high school business education and mathematics teacher. Since then, she has held several positions-internal auditor, fiscal and budget policy analyst , and economics and accounting faculty. Most recently, Susan served as the dean for the School of Business, Computer Information Systems & New Media at Georgia Piedmont Technical College. Subsequently, she served as the Chief Operations Officer of a privately own architectural firm. In this role, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm. Presently, Susan serves as the Chief of Staff at the Council on Occupational Education (COE). COE is one of 60 national postsecondary education accreditors recognized by the Department of Education.A well rounded academician, she has presented on topics which include student engagement, critical thinking , effective use of social media in the classroom, and most recently higher education leadership. Susan serves as an accreditation evaluator for Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and was a 2015 Dr. Carolyn Grubbs Leadership Development Institute Scholar. Susan has a full grasp of the important issues facing today's colleges and universities. Her interest include economics, public administration and policy, and education reform.
