As cochair of Gray Plant Mooty’s Investigation and White Collar Defense team, I represent companies and individuals facing federal and state court enforcement actions and conduct internal investigations when allegations of misconduct are raised.My practice spans a wide range of white collar matters, as well as civil and criminal tax matters in state and federal jurisdictions. I have also defended religious and other nonprofit organizations facing both internal and external investigations, with a particular focus on allegations of sexual misconduct.Before entering private practice, I served as Ramsey County Attorney from 1995 to 2011, and I was the first woman to hold the office. Prior to that, I served as an assistant county attorney for 10 years.Informed by my experience managing the myriad civil litigation and advisory practice challenges faced by a major metropolitan county, I offer my clients a deep understanding of the impact that investigations and litigation can have on their organization. I was honored to be admitted into the American College of Trial Lawyers.
