Susan Jones Knape is founder and president of A Case for Women, the only women-owned and women-focused advocacy/communications/marketing organization in the legal industry. It is also the only organization in the U.S. dedicated to empowering women to change their lives and help others through legal action. A Case for Women works with leading U.S. plaintiff law firms to help them connect with and ultimately represent women who have been injured physically or otherwise. Example injuries include defective drugs and medical devices, MSU Larry Nassar sex abuse, human trafficking, Rideshare assault, COVID-19 claims and unequal pay.Ms. Knape, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of The University of Texas, is a nationally recognized thought leader in marketing and women’s advocacy as well as a published author. As the former Chief Marketing Officer for Baron & Budd, a position she held for over a decade, Ms. Knape developed a comprehensive digital strategy that successfully positioned the law firm for direct online plaintiff acquisition. Prior to her work for Baron & Budd and subsequent launch of A Case for Women, Ms. Knape spent two decades as creative director and president of her namesake ad agency. In this position she oversaw development of many national issues-driven marketing and advocacy campaigns for causes including: The American Heart Association, The Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Prudential Healthcare, Dallas Area Rapid Transit among others.In 2004, Ms. Knape authored a McGraw Hill Publication: The Money Rules: 50 Ways for Women to Have More. Save More. Earn More. She volunteered her time to schools and non-profits, providing financial literacy workshops for teenage girls and their mothers, spoke at numerous events including the U.S. Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau event on financial literacy and created the “Girlboss” competition for best teenage business plan where she awarded the winner a $10,000 prize.
