A member of the Bloomberg legal team and a regular paid contributor to the Columbia Journalism Review, where I wrote a biweekly column on ethics in journalism. I also often wrote stories for AARP Bulletin and Planning magazine and my book reviews were published by The Miami Herald. I've worked as a researcher on the CNN series Death Row Stories and served as an associate editor for the literary journal As You Were: The Military Review. In the past, my work has appeared in The New York Times, BusinessWeek, Poder Hispanic magazine, The Daily Business Review, VisitFlorida.com, Business Miami and the British magazine Monocle. I also worked with a few select corporate clients, crafting executive profiles, web page content and corporate magazine articles.

I advised the award-winning Barry Buccaneer and obtained a non-profit enterprise license for Salesforce in order to train students on the industry standard for CRM, back before Salesforce was cool, at least in academia.

Crime and legal affairs reporter for six years. Tapped to respond to crises in Haiti, New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and across Florida during the hurricane seasons of 2004 and 2005. Sent to Baghdad to cover the war in 2005 and Cuba during the Obama inauguration. Received awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists for writing from Haiti. Finalist for the Livingston award for young journalists in 2005. Edited part-time and coordinated multimedia projects.

Covered the war in Colombia for two years and reported from the Dominican Republic, covering poverty, politics, business and features for 17 months. Managed a small staff of part-time reporters.

Covered the reconstruction of Bosnia after the war. Clients included Cox Newspapers, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Jewish Chronicle of London, Radio World magazine, Air Cargo Magazine and others.
