The affirmations are accompanied by 29 exquisite drawings which evoke a sense of the sacred and profound nature of new life. This book is a guide, a support, a tool, a reminder of just how amazing each pregnant woman is and how perfect the birthing process is, no matter what.

My most recent project has been writing and illustrating a book called Birth Affirmations. With 69 affirmations (positive statements of belief) and 29 delicate exquisite graphite drawings, this book is intended to empower women throughout their pregnancy, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursing experiences. Each affirmation has been carefully chosen to help women create a positive vision for their upcoming experiences. For example, "I love my pregnant belly!"​ will help women welcome the changes happening to their bodies as their babies develop. "It is safe and joyful to surrender to my birthing energy"​ helps women trust that their bodies know what to do. The book also has room for the women to write their own affirmations as well as their birth plan and birth story. This small (4"x 5"​) book is the perfect size to fit inside a purse or to put on the bedside table.Previously, my attention was primarily focused on the human form. My series have included Beyond Barbie (a series of life-sized female nudes of all sizes, shapes, ages, and races), 12 Naked Men, Scar Series, Pregnant Nudes, along with Fruits and Veggies, Color Studies, and Into the Mist. Examples of all of this work may be seen at www.susansinger.comMy intention in doing my art is to express the joy I feel inside when I feel it, and to let loose any negative feelings I'm harboring when they get stuck inside. I paint and draw to help me understand the world better. It is how I process my feelings, impressions, and concerns. It helps me sort out the world and to express how I feel. I am quite passionate about a lot of things, and my art helps me express and teach about what I care about. For example, Beyond Barbie was my mouthpiece for the strong feeling I have that all women are beautiful and the rage I feel that society would have us feel otherwise. Each series has arisen out of similarly strong urges to change the world for the better.

For the last several years I have been working with individuals whose desire it is to express themselves more boldly than was previously available to them. I work intuitively with them, helping them reach whatever goals they choose.
