As an experienced public health professional, my aim is to align policies with effective community-led programs. My skills and cheerful temperament facilitate building access to health care resources for vulnerable populations, specifically for older adults, persons living with disabilities and caregivers in rural Western Massachusetts.I spent a number of years working in Southern Africa collaborating with six amazingly talented and experienced country leaders implementing HIV medical adherence and comprehensive reproductive health programs. I have designed and implemented emergency response, and monitoring and evaluation programs in a variety of challenging environments. My professional work for LifePath, and in a service capacity with the Mary Lyon Foundation, the Opioid Task Force, and as a former member of the Public Safety Commission for the City of Greenfield, mean a great deal to me. I am a passionate public health advocate who works steadily to influence solution and community oriented efforts to ease the burdens of those less resourced.My monitoring and evaluation experience is extensive and focuses on providing useful data analysis. I have proven experience fundraising and managing contract deliverables at state, federal, and international levels. I love the language of Portuguese. I was well-tutored at the Centro de Linguas in Lisbon, Portugal; and also, by my former Angolan colleague and friend, John Granda. Draft Gratitude is a globally certified rescue sanctuary for retired and abandoned draft horses where I spend time helping out. My favorite place to be is in Greenfield, MA with my family and friends.
