My work as a teaching artist, a practicing artist and as an advocate for integrated learning takes me into collaborative spaces for thinking about ideas.I am particularly interested in the myriad of ways information and ideas are transformed using new technologies. I enjoy connecting larger communities of like minded persons using social media. Open Source is a growing, currency of knowledge and community that I find compelling. Most of my work as a visual artist is a memoir and oftentimes takes shape as an unconventional book form. My creative practice is my best, most wonderful way to be a good human. As a printmaker I am very interested in how an idea is cultivated and transferred. Multiples, self portraits, and layered (often appropriated) graphic and poetic collages are my medium. The habits of printmaking translate into social relationships and is especially true for the culture of cut and paste, click to share.
