➢Designed and executed simple and effective imprinting technique to imprint non-porous silica particles. The technique is cheap and tunable to specific saccharides and separates chiral sugars as well.➢Utilized silica materials for molecular level saccharide separation via molecular imprinting. Extended technique for C5-C6 separations to disaccharides and stereoisomers.➢Developed a statistically significant bi-Langmuir adsorption model and defined separation factor based on adsorption experiments. ➢Synthesized tetra coordinated titano-silicates which can be used as catalysts for epoxidation reaction. Characterized materials using nitrogen adsorption, FTIR, XRD, SEM.➢Used Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) to determine critical micellar concentration (CMC) and enthalpy of micellization for mixed surfactant systems.➢Statistical error analysis of modeled thermodynamic parameters.➢Modeled thermodynamics of non-ideal mixed micellar systems using ITC data to determine micellar composition and molar distribution. Used the model to calculate thermodynamic interaction parameter (β).

Studied material and energy balance for nitrobenzene plant and a 500TPD sulfuric acid plant.Calculations performed on nitrobenzene plant helped in reducing inventory of raw materials for the plant leading to savings in raw material storage and losses. Energy losses were studied in case of sulfuric acid plant. The suggested changes were modeled to show 2% reduction in energy consumption.
