Suzanne is the winner of the Australian Independent Booksellers Indie Award for Debut Fiction 2020 with her novel ALLEGRA IN THREE PARTS published by Pan MacMillan in Australia and New Zealand. She is the author of A GIRL IN THREE PARTS published by Penguin Random House in the USA and Canada, a title honoured by the Feminist Task Force of the American Library Association and Social Responsibility Round Table for quality literature with significant feminist content and recommended by Rise: A Feminist Book Project for the Young Adult Fiction 2021 booklist. She was the Inaugural Director of Jesuit Social Services in NSW which works to build a just society by advocating for social change and the wellbeing of disadvantaged young people, families and communities.Suzanne is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has undergone corporate governance training through Harvard Business School and mediation training through LEADR. Since 2000 she has held various philanthropic and company board positions including Non-executive Director of Hunter Hall International Limited, Chair and Trustee of Hunter Hall Charitable Giving Program, member of Hunter Hall Risk Management Committee, member of Hunter Hall Remuneration Committee, Director of the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme, Board member of the Ethical Investment Association, member of the Kincoppal-Rose Bay Governance Committee and Director of Kincoppal-Rose Bay School Board. Throughout the 1990s she worked in Crisis & Issues Management with Public Affairs Company, Hill & Knowlton consulting to scores of organisations throughout Australia, New Zealand & Asia. During this time Suzanne developed an interest in Ethics and Leadership and was awarded a Vincent Fairfax Fellowship completed through the St James Ethics Centre.She previously worked as a journalist with The Sydney Morning Herald (where she devised and edited '50 Plus' a section for older readers), ABC TV and the BBC, London and The United Nations Office, Sydney.Suzanne is currently working on another novel for Pan Macmillan.
