Under the umbrella of the Vista 360's Green Power Stimulus Plan, a year long initiative producing year-long programming that brings the beautiful possibilities of renewable energy to life for people of all ages. This ambitious, collaborative project that used the arts t o catalyze civic engagement. The purpose is to utilize the power of the arts and creative problem-solving to entertain, inspire and motivate change to move our community toward 100% renewable energy and net zero carbon by 2030.

Involvement with innovative and collaborative project design and management, strategic partnership development between private, nonprofit and government entities and individual studio practice is the current themes running through my current scope of work.Pioneering new paths to creativity, I have had the opportunity to engage with my work in new and inventive ways. From participation on jury panels, to discussion forums to collaborating with other disciplines, work in other places and making public art happen!

Suzanne Morlock is an artist and social interventionist who entices human compassion via multidisciplinary works which expose narratives of vulnerability, dissecting and recombining sensory elements with a wry wit and a steady eye.

An opportunity for an artist to spend time learning about the operations of recycling in Teton County, Wyoming and more broadly to understand the dynamic factors at play in the recycling industry. As an artist who has worked with recycled and repurposed materials for over a decade, the idea to approach the Recycling Center for a residency opportunity seemed like a natural fit. Modeled on highly successful programs on the west coast, I found a receptive partner in Teton County.

In conjunction with the Pioneer Square Residents' Council board, I visioned, raised funds, developed and implemented a public art program in Pioneer Square, Art Outside the Box!. Directing all aspects of the program from surveying the neighborhood residents and businesses on themes for the artwork to outreach to under served Coast Salish tribal community, a collaborative project with the Chief Seattle Club and the Alliance for Pioneer Square. Eleven artists are currently represented in the neighborhood.

Combination of outward facing activities in public service, coordination and implementation of projects with work team, collection development in a variety of formats managing a material budget of 25K, participation on internal and external committees to facilitate new community partnerships and strengthen existing ones.

Reported to Assistant Director and performed oversight of 3 supervisors, indirectly supervising 25 FTEs. Key responsibilities included management of all aspects of Public Services operations, including three services points, management of selection of all library materials with a budget of $150K annually and setting vision and service models for library. Included operational oversight of strategic planning goals implementation, public relations and outreach to community and establishment of training and development plans for public services. Recent key participant in a library-wide reorganization of services to adjust alignment with professional trends and increase responsiveness to community needs.

Reported to Library Director and managed a staff of 5 professional staff. Key responsibilities included management of all aspects of Information Desk operations, budget preparation and monitoring, management of annual standing order budget of $45K, management of Library Foundation funds, Cooperating Collections Coordinator for Foundation Center grant writing collection, supervises collection development process for library, responsible for locked cabinet rare materials, participant in strategic planning initiatives, statewide committees and library’s management team. Major accomplishments include creation of model for reference and computer services in library, establishment of reference collection, expansion of Interlibrary Loan program, establishment of standing order processes, implementation of Grant Mentorship Program (1999), collaboration with the Community Foundation on workshop development, establishment of Teton County’s Volunteer Tax Assistance Program (2003) in collaboration with the Latino Resource Center, development of Business Counseling Program (2000) with the Wyoming Small Business Development Center, development and implementation of Lunch ‘n Learn workshop series (2004), an educational public workshop program focused on information literacy via electronic resources.

Reported to Adult Services Supervisor and responsible for coordination of communications with media, planning of programs and related events for library. Key responsibilities included planning, coordinating and implementing educational programs augmenting community learning, preparation of press releases, posters, coordination all event details. Major accomplishments included facilitation of the establishment of an outreach function for the library, assisted initiation of grant support for library programming, legitimized concept of learning in different ways via visual and interactive participation through programs and exhibits, creation of the library’s first newsletter, studied volunteer recruitment for further library development, participated in “opening day collection project” purchasing over 500 books for the new library.

Reported to the Adult Services Supervisor and responsible for overall front-line responsibilities related to patron contact. Key responsibilities included knowledge of the collection, ability to answer reference questions, patron assistance, back-up for Interlibrary Loan Services and special projects. Major accomplishments included periodical inventory, compilation of local author bibliography, completion of grant writing workshop, reorganization of vertical file.

Taught 2D and 3D design fundamentals

Reported to principal of firm and responsible for preliminary site design and graphic layout solutions. Key responsibilities included preliminary work on site design projects, gathering background data, measurements, regulatory information, drawings of various dimensions.

Reported to the Director of the Institute of Regenerative Studies and responsible for site design and coordination of development of a solar collector demonstration park.

Reported to professor and responsible for assisting with the preparation of materials for class lectures and presentations, participant in all critiques and discussions of design work, helped students with individual problem solving challenges.
