About Suzanne Morlock

Suzanne Morlock is an artist and social interventionist who entices human compassion via multidisciplinary works which expose narratives of vulnerability, dissecting and recombining sensory elements with a wry wit and a steady eye. During the last 7 years I have had a variety of opportunities to connect with communities some familiar and some new, seeking the narratives which drive them. From hearing the stories of those experiencing homelessness on the streets of Seattle to the nuances of those seeking new job skills in Rauma, Finland, my ability to identify, connect and create have grown immeasurably. For many years prior, while straddling my art career, I engaged in public service work at my local library. An environment which fostered creativity and on-going learning, I developed strong administrative skills as well as the ability to invent community-responsive programming and collaborative partnerships. The cultural landscape of a library embodies the very best of an open and equal access to the world for all.
