So far, I have focused on relationship building with Years 7-10 and have enjoyed immersing myself in the local context. The school is fully independent and serves a disadvantaged community to achieve as many students as possible, achieving their MSA and going on to fulfill their careers or further study. I work closely within my department to bring new pedagogical techniques focused on AI and personalised learning, to increase student engagement and overall performance. I have been successful at implementing parts of a new curriculum, which centers around more student interests and current issues that affect them, for example, worldwide conflicts and what it means in their community. The other half of my role is the development of a new school building that will include a wood/metal Lernwerkstatt, Makerspace, Mediathek Studio, a new Library, and several group rooms for temporary projects. In the long term, we wish to develop a new idea around what school means, both for the student, their family, and the local community. We wish to expand our reach by using the school as a hub, ensuring that families and connected persons feel supported and engaged in school projects. This, in turn, should forge better links with those who can support us in obtaining work and learning opportunities outside of the school walls. School is no longer just a learning destination, but the physical representation of a successful community. Show less

At AMBOSS, I established and managed a bilingual (German and English) Kindergarten for children aged 6 months to 3 years, providing high-quality childcare at the company’s Berlin headquarters. This facility became a critical employee benefit, enhancing recruitment and supporting operations during the Corona crisis by enabling working parents. I implemented a tailored curriculum inspired by Montessori, Waldorf, and Steiner pedagogies, fostering independence, self-confidence, and an international community culture. I recruited and developed a dedicated team through an in-house training program, promoting collaborative leadership and staff retention.Additionally, I designed imaginative, resourceful learning environments with rotating themes like Space and Under the Sea, leveraging Loose Parts training and sustainable practices. The success of this initiative led to consultancy opportunities with organizations like Babbel and Sennder, where I developed childcare facility concepts tailored to their needs. Show less

Additionally, I taught myself Spanish, achieving a proficient, intermediate-high level of fluency. Show less

I was also accountable as most senior staff member for a further Nursery cohort and its staff that had access to the same unit. • I specialised in the Early Years, which served as one of many focuses for my Masters education. I am a confident practitioner that fully understands how children learn at this age. I am aware of all current practice and curriculums, including assessment against the EYFS Framework and other publications from OFSTED and the Government. • My area had high social deprivation, which created a challenging context to teach in. I worked closely with SEN children, ranging from severe autism, Asperger’s, dyslexia and dyspraxia to behavioural issues. I established and strengthened close relationships with parents, who developed trust in me and who respect my professional opinion in their child’s learning. I increased engagement with the parental community in providing workshops for phonics and reading help at home that proved successful.• I worked closely in a large team including Senior Leadership and the school’s SENCo, which gave me many opportunities to observe quality first teaching. From this, I developed daily formal phonics lessons and other teaching strategies for number, space, shape and measures. Lessons were differentiated and taught in a variety of ways, including interventions for children who require one-to-one support.• I took a full lead on planning and creating all resources for a large continuous provision, ensuring that there are cross-curricular opportunities for the children to engage with. My main role was to source off market property deals for the Investments company through avenues such as Part Exchange and Cash Offers. It was also important for me to correctly give advice to potential clients about the viability of these options as well as discussing the open market. My role was very fast paced and involved succinct decision making with clients about the best way to progress forward. I would often be in touch with potential clients for months, trying to guide them towards the right decision for their own individual circumstances. I also gained a unique insight into other areas of the property industry that were involved in off market deals including criteria for investment deals, how deals are brokered and also the involvement of residential clients in working with property professionals. I handled all finances and accounts within the business as well as managing the marketing and overall growth strategy that we decided to undertake. Human resources was always a huge responsibility - we had a range of staff either employed or self-employed, all with important roles from estate agency to admin. I controlled the training and development of all staff and also tried to encompass industry knowledge so that people learnt not only about the company but the wider sphere on which we did business. I really enjoyed helping to create an overall network of offices and dedicated much of my time in a support role to the entire Scottish Property Network. This included wider implementation of the same roles, responsibilities, tasks and aims that applied to my own business to the entire network, being sensitive to the fact that it was also independent businesses that I was working with. My experience in change management from acting as Project Manager over a business's most difficult period (an entire re-brand) held me in good stead for achieving the same objective with other individual offices.
